Transgendered Miss Universe Canada contestant Jenna Talackova took to the stage in Toronto yesterday on the first day of the competition.

Whoever wins the competition that wraps up this weekend at the St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts will go on to represent Canada at the 2012 Miss Universepageant, which has yet to announce a date.
