The 2012 Kids' Choice Awards will be seen live on television this coming Saturday, March 31st. Among the nominees up for awards will be Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez.
Bieber and Gomez continue to be the hot celebrity couple these days, and according to the KCA Vote website, they could take home as many as four awards. Three of those would be Selena's. Gomez is up for TV Actress against Miranda Cosgrove of "iCarly," Victoria Justice of "Victorious," an Bridgit Mendler of "Good Luck Charlie." Mendler was born in nearby Washington, DC. Selena Gomez's show "Wizards of Waverly Place is also nominated for Favorite TV Show.
Selena's third nomination is in the Female Singer category, where she's up against Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and Taylor Swift. Meanwhile, Selena's boyfriend, Justin Bieber, is nominated in the Male Singer category. He'll be up against his music mentor Usher, as well as country star Toby Keith, and pop star Bruno Mars. Other award categories include Favorite Buttkicker, Favorite Male and Female Athlete, Favorite Movie, Cartoon and Favorite Video Game.
This year's KCA show will be hosted by actor Will Smith, with plenty of fun presenter moments and performances as well. Previous editions of the Nickelodeon-based awards show have featured on-stage presenters and guests getting "slimed."
The 2012 Kids' Choice Awards will be shown Live on Saturday, March 31st, starting at 8 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Roanoke viewers can see the awards show on Cox Cable channel 35 for Nickelodeon.
